ESCAPE
by YUU IKEDA

Powder snow piles up

on my umbrella

that you gave me.

It looks like tears on my cheeks.

It looks like pains on my mind.

I can't look up at the night

because it reminds me of

rain like you that melts snow eternally.

At Valentine's Day,

my eardrums try to escape

from happiness.

At Valentine's Day,

my eyelids try to escape

from happiness.
